We are living in confusing times.  We desperately seek health and happiness but no matter how hard we try, we can't seem to attain them.  With mixed messages coming at us from all angles on what to eat and how to exercise as well as pressures to work harder, make more money, meditate, and be happier, we are left confused, exhausted, and frustrated.  

I help you to discover your own personal path toward health and happiness. This is my passion and my life’s work - to provide a safe space for your profound learning.

With a master’s degree in Public Health Epidemiology, bachelor’s of science in Biology, and a minor in Exercise and Sports Studies for Group Fitness Instruction, I also hold certifications as a Balanced Body Pilates Instructor, National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer and Weight Loss Specialist, International Coach Federation Associate Certified Coach, and Newfield Certified Coach. I developed a diabetes prevention and management program for a health care agency in Saipan, led three departments and a staff of over eighty fitness professionals at Honolulu’s premier health club, served as a lifestyle coach at Hawaii’s leading health care company, medically reviewed fitness, health, and wellness articles for a leading health information website, collaborated with physicians on research studying the spread of tuberculosis in the CNMI and the correlation between dynamic q-angles and ACL injuries amongst youth athletes in Hawaii, instructed a weight training course at a university, and trained clients of all ages and fitness levels over the last ten years as a Pilates trainer and personal trainer in group classes and private training sessions.

Quality education is the foundation of my practice. Under the Balanced Body family of world-class Pilates master instructors, I received my training from giants in the industry: Portia Page, author of Pilates Illustrated, and Tom McCook, an internationally renowned Pilates teacher and movement specialist. At Newfield Network, I had the privilege of studying the art of ontological coaching from Julio Olalla, a pioneer of coaching and transformational learning.

I teach Pilates because I love to help people feel great about themselves.  Pilates is an art of movement that asks that we cultivate strength and flexibility to move efficiently and effectively.  In moving with stability and mobility, we discover that the seemingly opposing forces in the body actually help to facilitate proper movement when we use them in combination.  

The beauty of Pilates is that it teaches us to move in the "grey" - that beautiful space between structure and flow.  As I have practiced Pilates, I have also learned to think, feel, and relate in the grey.  My life has never felt so full.  

We often learn by feeding our MINDS information.  Pilates helps us to learn by feeding our BODIES healthy movement.  Holistic learning is the integration of feeding the mind and body which opens doors for profound transformation.
